The challenge
Bawan Gold is a precious-metals refiner and wholesaler with branches in Sulaymaniyah and Erbil, in the Kurdistan Region. Its scrap gold calculations were complex and tracked by hand, wholesale deals were managed without a clear system, and internal workflows were slow and paper-heavy. The company also had no digital presence: there was no corporate website.
What we built
Enzziro built a digital ecosystem in two parts: a private enterprise app for running the business, used inside the company and not published to the public, and a website for everyone else. At the centre of the app is a rate engine for wholesale and scrap gold, so rates are managed in one place. Inventory and deal management keeps stock and wholesale deals in one system. Automated purity conversion handles the purity calculations on bulk deals, work that had been done by hand. A digital internal workflow system replaces the paper-based routines.
The new website
We have since rebuilt bawangold.com, replacing the first site we built for Bawan with a new one. The site presents the refinery's work, from assaying, smelting and refining metal to 999.9 and 995 fineness, to minting certified bars and coins from 1 gram to 1 kilo. A catalogue shows the full range, filterable by gold bars, silver bars and coins, each in the sealed, QR-verified assay card it ships in. There are pages for the refinery's services and the company's story, and a contact page with WhatsApp and map directions to the refinery.
The whole site runs in English, Kurdish and Arabic. Each language has its own address, and Kurdish and Arabic are laid out right to left.
The customer app
The website also points customers to the app we built for them, Bawan Precious Metals. It is a free iOS app that publishes Bawan's live gold, coin and bullion rates, the price on any past date, and both branch locations, in English, Kurdish or Arabic.
The outcome
Bawan Gold's wholesale workflow is now fully digital, and the company has a professional web presence. Scrap and purity calculations are automated, wholesale rates are managed from one central system, and customers can find Bawan's products, prices and branches in their own language, on the website or on their phone.
The work is ongoing: Enzziro continues to maintain and extend the enterprise app, the website and the customer app as Bawan's business grows.
